The Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato (KOMU), has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening.
The screening exercise is for candidates who applied through JAMB for 2026 undergraduate admission, chose KOMU as their first choice, and sat for the 2026 UTME or applied for direct entry admission. Candidates who did not first choose KOMU can still apply, but they must change to KOMU on JAMB CAPS on or before 31 July 2026.

KOMU O'LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates need at least five O'Level credit passes.
The credits must include English language, mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, depending on the course, at not more than two sittings.
For MBBS, candidates must have five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at one sitting.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Only candidates who selected KOMU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME registration are eligible to apply for admission into the following programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing Science
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Law
NOTE: Candidates who changed to KOMU as their first choice after the UTME registration will NOT be considered for admission into the above programmes.
Candidates who did not originally choose KOMU as their first choice institution during the 2026 UTME but scored a minimum of 150 and above are eligible to apply for admission into other programmes, provided they effect a change of institution to KOMU on the JAMB CAPS portal.
Admission into each programme shall be subject to meeting the minimum JAMB score requirement specified for that programme.

DIRECT ENTRY (DE) REQUIREMENTS
Direct Entry candidates must possess OND, HND, first degree, or A’ Level qualifications in relevant disciplines, in addition to the compulsory five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.
NATURE OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE
The 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise shall be based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB) uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
IMPORTANT NOTICES
a. Candidates should ensure that the details on their JAMB CAPS correspond with the information provided on the Post-UTME application portal (e.g., JAMB Registration Number, Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, etc.).
b. Candidates must use valid mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses for communication.
c. Candidates are required to upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS.
d. ONLY candidates who successfully complete and submit their applications online shall be considered for admission.

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000.00 (two thousand naira) only.

- On the homepage (splash screen), click: “Click here to register for our Post-UTME Admission Screening Form.” Alternatively, under the “Online Application” section, click “Post-UTME Screening Form.”
- Click on “Click here to Apply.”
- Click on “Start Your Admission Process.”
- Click on “Start Application Process.”
- Fill out the application form completely and correctly.
- Click “Submit.” You will be directed to pay the Post-UTME/Direct Entry application fee of ₦2,000.00 only.
- On the Remita portal, an interface displaying your Name, Phone Number, E-mail Address, Reference Number (RRR), and Amount Payable will appear. If the details are correct, click “Submit.”
